Role overview
A unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing finance team and own the Management Accountant function for at least two entities. There’s unlimited potential for growth within the role; whilst following group processes will be key, the flexibility is there to make the role your own.
We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to manage month-end for at least two entities. This role is central to providing accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and partnering with Client Partnership & Strategy teams to drive profitability across projects and clients.
As a Management Accountant at Williams Commerce, you will:
Management Accounting
Prepare revenue documentation for monthly meetings and manage the revenue process for review and sign-off by the Group Financial Controller.
Review and code monthly General Ledger transactions.
Ensure all costs are captured within the reporting period.
Provide detailed descriptions of variances to the current forecast.
Give insight into any large variances & mitigate any negative impact in the month.
Complete additional finance tasks as required.
Sales Ledger
Manage Accounts Receivable activities.
Purchase Ledger
Manage weekly and bi-weekly BACS payment runs (Intercompany).
· Control & Management of the project creation process.
Review employee expenses prior to final submission.
Cash Forecasting
Manage the monthly cash forecast for all entities and present findings to NEXT15.
VAT Returns
Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
Ensure all valid VAT documentation is maintained.
Reporting
Support the Group Financial Controller with month-end reporting through the preparation of detailed Profit & Loss reports and Balance Sheet reconciliations for relevant entities, alongside other reporting requirements.
Maintain month-end schedules including accrued expenses, prepayments and fixed assets, etc.
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts for review by the Group Financial Controller.
You will bring:
2-3 year’s finance experience.
At least 6 month’s experience preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
Previous experience preparing Management Accounts.
Advanced Excel knowledge.
Experience working within a finance team.
