Digital Project Manager

Role overview
We're looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital platforms, from initial discovery through to launch and optimisation.
You'll be the central point of coordination between clients, our teams, and external partners, ensuring you keep project timelines running smoothly, within budget, and aligned with commercial and user-focused goals. Comfortable managing multiple workstreams, you'll bring structure, clarity, and momentum to quickly moving digital programmes.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will align ongoing client delivery with departmental capacity and processes, playing an important role in client success, satisfaction, and retention.
As a Digital Project Manager at Williams Commerce, you will:
Plan, scope, manage, and deliver digital projects across CMS and eCommerce platforms
Oversee project timelines, budgets, scope, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects
Be a primary contact for clients and senior partners
Scope, manage, and deliver digital solutions, including greenfield builds and continuous development programmes
Translate requirements into clear briefs, user stories, delivery plans, and documentation
Lead delivery ceremonies including kick-offs, stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Set realistic schedules and allocate internal and external resources, adjusting plans in-flight.
Identify, manage, and resolve risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests, including budget and timeline adjustments
Help ensure good quality checks and a smooth process through to launch.
Optimise delivery against a performance framework aligned to client digital goals, including commercial KPIs, customer acquisition and engagement, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, SEO, and sustainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Design, BA, QA, Development, and Project Management) to deliver programmes of work efficiently
Track performance, report on progress, and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes
Deliver an excellent level of client service by defining objectives, managing expectations, and building trusted relationships
You will bring:
Experience managing digital projects in an agency or in-house environment
At least 3-5 years' experience delivering digital and eCommerce projects from requirements gathering through post-launch optimisation
Experience with digital delivery disciplines, including UX, design, development, content, and QA
Client-facing experience delivering digital services in a structured environment
Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies
Experience in coordinating different projects and supporting team members with a range of skills.
In-depth technical knowledge of at least one eCommerce platform (e.g. Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce), including third-party integrations (e.g. ERP, PIM)
Work familiarity with data, including user research, behavioural analytics, or complex product catalogues
Communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to adapt your style from C-level stakeholders to delivery teams
A clear and organised way of working, with an emphasis on finding solutions.
