Business Continuity Manager (3-Month FTC)

Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Continuity Manager who is immediately available to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract basis. Reporting to our Group Head of Risk and Compliance, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our business continuity plans. You will play a critical role in helping our organisation develop and deploy its BCP strategy across the Head Office and our Brands.
Working with operational teams across our Head office and the Brands, you will assist in defining, developing, documenting and testing an effective strategy to help us prepare for and minimise disruption to our services in the event of a business continuity event.
The ability to foster relationships, and a talent for inspiring collaboration among brands and individuals with diverse objectives will be key factors contributing to success in this role.
As a Business Continuity Manager at Next 15, you will:
Build on the existing draft Business Continuity framework, and develop a comprehensive business continuity plan in collaboration with key stakeholders and brands.
Identify critical business functions, processes, and resources and prioritise them for continuity planning.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.
Analyse the impact of disruptions on the Next 15 Group and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Implement strategies and measures to safeguard critical functions and ensure the group's ability to operate during disruptions.
Coordinate with Group IT, Risk & Compliance, DPO and other relevant departments to integrate technology and infrastructure considerations into continuity plans.
Develop an effective incident management plan and communication strategy.
Establish effective communication channels to disseminate information during emergencies.
Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees to ensure understanding of business continuity plans and their roles in the event of a disruption.
Conduct drills and simulations to evaluate the organisation's readiness to respond to various scenarios.
Set up and maintain detailed documentation of business continuity plans, risk assessments, and incident response procedures.
Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
You will bring:
A bachelor's degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CBCP - Certified Business Continuity Professional).
Experience with business continuity planning and disaster recovery in a managerial role.
Experience with risk management principles and methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
