Head of Risk & Compliance

We are looking for a Head of Risk & Compliance (possibly with a finance/accounting/audit background) to join our team in London. Reporting into our finance function, you will develop our risk and compliance infrastructure, and lead the agenda for the head office and across our brands. For you to be successful in this role, you will be operational and comfortable dealing with diverse stakeholders.
As a Head of Risk & Compliance at Next 15, you will:
Ensure compliance matters are identified, propose and agree actions required to mitigate key risks
Develop an appropriate risk management framework that works with our decentralised structure
Triage responses to daily issues including business continuity, environmental management and IT disaster recovery
Lead our response to consumer fraud risks and manage the policies and procedures on fraud, bribery and corruption
Provide advice and support that enables informed decision-making that reflects regulatory requirements and risks
Build, implement and maintain an effective compliance framework through which risks can be identified and managed to ensure we meet regulatory requirements and expectations
Provide guidance on compliance with key regulatory rules and principles, promote a risk management culture, oversee the delivery of training and awareness activities
Represent compliance at relevant meetings and with third-party partners and regulators
Retain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable UK legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and best practice that have the potential to impact our Brands and have an understanding of international regulatory requirements
Maintain a network of relevant external relationships to assist in understanding of trends and developments within risk and compliance
You will bring:
At least 8 years experience in risk and compliance
Degree level qualification or an equivalent Compliance and Risk experience
Professional qualification in a related area (e.g. CFA, FRM, ACA, CISI)
Expertise in developing risk management solutions including processes and controls
Experience with compliance and risk management frameworks (i.e. operational, conduct, financial, data protection and information security)
An understanding of UK legislation, codes of practice and industry guidelines relevant to our Brands
A practical approach to challenges, balancing commercial and regulatory objectives
A collaborative approach to work and stakeholder management skills
